Just after 2215 Assistant Chief 5 (Hudson) was contacted by dispatch to assist the Bedford County Sheriff Office with a search for a 14 year old female. Rescue 5 and U- 5 were assigned and Asst Chief 5 would end up with a Unified Command System with several agenies involved. Our assignment would end around 04:00 when we transfered Command to Chief 3. During the next operational period the child would be found about 1 and 1/2 miles from the home. Great work be all Companies and Squads assigned.
